Meet the dogs of Petrie Park!
At Petrie Park, wagging tails and joyful barks fill the air as our beloved dogs come together to frolic and explore this vibrant community space, each one adding their own unique personality to the park’s lively atmosphere; from spirited puppies boundlessly chasing after balls to wise old souls lounging in the sun, these furry companions bring a sense of joy and connection that reflects the heart of Richmond, showcasing the true spirit of companionship and adventure that we all cherish.

Elsie
Elsie went to dog heaven a few years ago at the age of 9, but she grew up in Petrie Park and loved playing there more than any other park she has encountered.
Her sister Pansy is following in Elsie’s footsteps and loves the park too!

Pansy
Meet Pansy who is now 16 months old, and following in Elsie’s footsteps.

Knox
Meet 12 year old Knox a regular down at the Park.

Charlie
“I’m Charlie, I’m 6 years old, and I’ve grown up at Petrie Park. I’ve have been going to this park twice a day for the last 6 years. It really is my home turf, I love all my friends I see on the daily, but most of all I love to play frisbee in the field!”

Manu

Benji
Hi I am Benji and I am a 9 month old Spoodle. My mum’s name is Jehanna and my dad’s is Nishant. I have a sister named Blaire. I am playful and I love my ‘furriends’ at Petrie Park
Suzie
13 year old Suzie with her mate Louie are pretty well known on the streets of Richmond, so much so most people know their names.

Magia
Magia lives next door to Petrie Park and is so proud to be part of the mural.

Daisy
Also known as the Mayor of Petrie Park.

Frank Flemming
Say hello to Frank Flemming, a 1 year old Cocker Spaniel who loves coming down to the park and playing with his doggy mates!

Cliff
Meet Cliff our 10 y/o border collie!

Arnold
“Hi I’m Arnold! I meet with my buddies every morning for a run and play!”

Chester
“I am a lemon roan Cocker Spaniel, 1.5 years old, and I’ve loved every minute of my time spent at Petrie Park with my brother Charlie. I’m a very friendly, happy dog that is obsessed with tennis balls and running around with my friends.”

Ziggy
A regular at Petrie Park, Ziggy and his humans pop down most days, Ziggy says he meets his best friends down at the park, the dog community down there is so cool and we feel lucky to have the park so close by!

Ash
Ash is 3 and loves to play ball, and is often at the park with his old mate Peanut who can be seen sniffing around at all the wonderful smells.

Louie
Louie, the other half of wee Suzie is 16 years old and can probably remember when the bowling green was part of the park.

Frankie
A magnificent Rhodesian Ridgeback who loves to frollick in the grass at the park.

Otto
“My mum and dad walk me to Petrie Park most days and we get to see Daisy who lives right near the park, I hope she has made the mural too!”

Waffles
“Hi my name is Waffles and Petrie Park is my all-time favourite place to go, because I get to meet lots of other doggies and their owners!”

Riley
“My Name is Riley. I am a 5 year old Jack Russell x Sydney Silky Terrier. My owners have lived here for 21 years, but take me to the park most days and they love what ‘We Are Richmond’ is doing to beautify the neighbourhood!”

Blue
“I’m Blue, I walk through Petrie park twice a day!”

Magaidh the German Shepherd and Gus a husky golden retriever cross love playing together at Petrie Park.

Scout lives very close to the park and can be seen there taking a stroll most days.
