Roadworks Update for Nicholls Street 30
As we approach the final stage of the project, Higgins would like to take a moment to express our sincere gratitude for your patience, understanding, and support throughout the entire process.
We know that the disruptions and delays were not always easy, and we truly appreciate your cooperation during this time. Your flexibility has been key in helping us complete the work, and we are excited to give back beautifully restored streets for you to enjoy.
Your patience has certainly paid off, and we hope the improvements to the area will make a positive impact on your daily lives.
We would like to provide a final update on the project, with a summary of the remaining key dates and activities below:
- Now – 9th Sep: Roadwork and drainage lid installations between Slater Street and Nicholls Street.
Traffic Management: Road closure on Dudley Street.
- 10th Sep (Tues): Chipseal work between Slater Street and Nicholls Street, including a small section of Stapleton Road.
Traffic Management: Road closure on Dudley Street, transitioning to Stapleton Road intersection closure for the day.
Resident Notice: If you live between Nicholls and Slater Street, please move your vehicle by 8am. Access will be restored by 5pm.
- 9th – 13th Sep: Grass berm and landscaping work on Dudley Street.
Traffic Management: Pedestrian escort on the footpath.
- 12th Sep (Thurs): CCTV inspection of all drainage works on Dudley Street.
Traffic Management: Road closure on Dudley Street.
- 13th Sep (Fri): Road sweeping on Dudley and Nicholls Streets.
Traffic Management: Roads will remain open
Resident Notice: please do not park on both Nicholls and Dudley street.
- 16th Sep (Mon): Linemarking on Dudley Street and NAASRA testing on both Dudley and Nicholls Streets.
Traffic Management: Rolling traffic management, roads will remain open
