New Richmond Village Sign Completed
What’s in a Sign? Well, a lot!
After years of deteriorating in the elements, having broken and faded signs, and causing the shopping centre to look run down, We are Richmond decided to do something about the Richmond Village Sign. The shopping centre has no body corporate or legal entity requiring upkeep by tenants or landlords. No one was taking responsibility for it, and it was an eyesore getting worse each year.
Over the last few years we have worked with landlords and shopkeepers to remove the old signage, fabricated and welded new metal structures, designed a new Richmond Village logo for the top (thank you to Kerry, owner of Richmond design studio Ollo for volunteering her services and bringing us into the modern era), and worked with the current shops to create new signage by Speedy Signs. Thank you to the volunteers who worked hard to get this project completed.
Along with the potholes being fixed, residents and visitors can now return to shopping in a more welcoming, safe shopping environment. Let’s support our local shops and make Richmond an even better place to shop and live.
