  • Capacity Builder Contract Conversation – H. Guglietta, D.Duffy conducted job contract conversation with R. Crawford 26/02 about the role shifting over the last two years. 

 

  • Petrie Park – CCC Better-Off Fund Decision $20,000. Signed and emailed to CCC. Pavillion fundraiser in the future. 

 

  • Richmond Village Sign – New We are Richmond sign created with logo, QR Code, Website logo. Added “Sign made possible by:”

 

  • Richmond Village Car Park – D. Duffy. Land boundaries disputed by landlords. Approached Richmond road contractors about excess road seal, but not successful.

  • Swanns Rd/ Stanmore Rd Parklet– To add better planting, sign boards. Plants getting sourced. History panels to be made. 

 

  • Shirley Intermediate Liaison – report from last pool sub-committee February meeting. D.Duffy–Helen Miles CCC is a strong advocate. History, maintenance, what’s needed to get up to working condition, letters from Ministry of Education. Daily pool numbers needed from all agencies. Pareawa Banks Avenue School has agreed to help with maintenance. 

 

  • Roading Report – D. Duffy. Nicholls Street and Stapletons Rd coming along. Poulton Ave reseal. List of priorities for LTP. Richmond Cycle greenway funding delayed, part-funding through CRAF still available. Wait for update on funding before expressing opinions to CCC. Stacey to arrange meeting with transport team.

 

  • Community Led Development Programme/DIA – To meet with Richie Milner DIA in March to discuss. 

 

  • Avon-Otakaro Network Updates and Riverlution Updates – City to Sea Pathway going ahead in May. Consent for Riverlution Cafe hopefully coming through soon. Cafe building will have to be moved further into the garden from its current position.

 

  • Design and Website Maintenance – Met with Pixel Space. $65/hour. Abel van Bruchem also available to do work remotely. Moved that Rachel has authority to choose the graphic design provider D. Duffy/ H. Guglietta.

  • Richmond Gala 23 March – Volunteers coming to help at stall, 10am-2pm. D. Duffy, C. Given, C. Carter. Rachel running Children’s Area.Game for our stall: Richmond Club happy to provide vouchers as prizes. Pin 5 landmarks in Richmond on a map. Winner gets a lolly, and goes into the draw for Richmond Club voucher.

 

  • The future of We Are Richmond –  deferred

 

  • Resignation of R. Taylor Committee Member due to personal circumstances. Send R.Taylor formal thank you email H. Guglietta/D. Duffy.

 

  • RCAN (Richmond Community Action Network) Meeting Feedback 13 February –Run by We are 

Richmond, was successful. Over 12 different organisations attended. This has grown greatly in the last two years.

 

  • CCC Update – J. McLellan H. Guglietta asked what RRBA should focus on? 10 Shirley Rd. J. McLellan answered: Roading. Cycleway. Rates. D. Duffy–commitment wanted towards Shirley Intermediate Pool. RRBA to do an update. Supporting Strengthening Communities–what value we get back for the $$ we get. Value of Strengthening Communities, City to Sea Pathway, expediting Richmond Greenway Cycleway.
  • John Miller – Dudley Street. New avian control process available in NZ soon.

 

General Business

  • Tattoo Shop rainwater garden. Needs weeding and mulching. H. Guglietta will mulch and water. 
  • Elmer the Elephant Funding–can we bid on the elephants? Too costly for businesses in our community. Thankful to John Rhind and Richmond Club who helped to fund the artist painting of one of the elephants at the end of last year. 
  • Status of Sorensons place–is Kainga Ora housing going to be built? R. Crawford shared Kainga Ora website–a map of future Kainga Ora development sites, and their status.
