Matariki Decoration Session 2

We are excited for Matariki in the Zone next Saturday. We’ve finished our banner to put up in our Ururangi (Winds of the Sky) tree. There will be 9 trees representing the 9 stars of Matariki dotted around Richmond Community Garden. You can walk around with family and friends starting mid-next-week at night and see each community group’s Matariki star creations, adorned with lights, in their trees. It’s a great annual tradition!
Our crafting session Tuesday night went so well, thanks to The White Room Creative Space, New Brighton Stitch-O-Mat and Tiny Fest for letting us co-host this amazing creative session.

Who speaks for the trees?
So because the tree couldn’t stand up for itself (excuse the pun) the tree never wins.
