Petrie Park BBQ and Consultation 2025

We hosted a wonderful community BBQ at Petrie Park and thank everyone for coming out. We met some new residents, existing neighbours and lots of happy dogs.
Christchurch City Council‘s consultation team was there to show off the new planting plan we have created in conjunction with the Urban Forest Team.
Be sure to give feedback on the new Petrie Park plan before 10 March (tell your neighbours too):
We also enjoyed seeing all of the murals we’ve worked alongside the community to create in the last year mounted along the perimeter walls…they look fantastic mounted on the walls around the park. Bridget Allen Environmental Art has done so well planning these and our landscape layout.
Thank you to Peter Timbs Meats for sponsoring sausages and dog treats, Lena from Redzone Dogs Ōtautahi for coming along to support, Emma Nourish from our local community board, and Ali Jones Council Candidate For Innes for supporting.

Richmond Roading Update 2023

Petrie Park Community BBQ & Engagement Session
The Richmond community gathered at a bbq at Petrie Park to spend time together but also engage on what they would like to see on the former bowling green at the southern half of the park.
Safe Speed Neighbourhoods Submission
The implementation of the new speed limits would fit well with the current traffic improvement initiatives in Richmond.
