Te Oraka Community Pools Co-Hosted Cleanup 1

Feb 22, 2025 | Active Richmond, Educate Richmond, Healthy Richmond, Heritage Richmond, RR&BA

Volunteers from Shirley Community Trust, We are Richmond and Dallington had their first cleanup session at Te Oraka Community Pools.

These former Te Oraka Shirley Intermediate pools haven’t been used in the last few years and were potentially going to be closed. The Te Oraka Community Pools Committee was set up by members from local organisations and residents last year to work together for a solution to keep these pools as a community asset for all members to use, not just students.

This was the first cleanup session and so much was accomplished!
